Lauren Dodd
Acrylic · Oil Pastel · Pen · Mixed Media
Dodd is a contemporary artist working primarily in acrylic, layered with oil pastel and pen. Her paintings are defined by bold color, rich texture, and expressive pink figures that explore themes both intimate and universally human. Each piece evolves through intuition, experimentation, and play—balancing figurative form with abstraction.
Raised in Renton, Washington, she was drawn to making from an early age. Creativity remained constant through college, where she balanced academics and collegiate rugby while continuing to paint.
After earning her bachelor’s degree, she spent three years living and working in Beijing before returning to Seattle. There, she expanded her commission practice and committed to art full time.
Now focused entirely on her studio practice, Dodd continues to develop her voice through study, travel, and dedicated exploration. 2026 will bring further study in Barcelona, with new work and exhibitions to follow.
