How Commissions Work

1. Tell Me About Your Idea: Send over the details— subject, style, size, references, and any timeline you have in mind. I’ll review everything and confirm availability, pricing, and turnaround.

2. Lock It In: Once the details are set, payment secures your spot. 50% deposit is required before starting any project. The final payment is made before shipping.

3. Sketch & Direction: I’ll create an initial sketch to decide the composition and overall feel. This is your chance to request small tweaks before the final artwork begins.

4. Bringing It to Life: With the sketch approved, I move into the final artwork. At this stage, the focus is on refining and finishing—major changes aren’t included.

5. Final Touches: You’ll receive a near-final preview for minor adjustments, such as color or small detail refinements.

6. Delivery: After final approval and second payment + shipping costs, your finished artwork will be shipped and delivered.

Commission FAQ

  • Each piece is created traditionally and by hand, with a 3–4 week creation timeline. The starting price reflects the time, materials, and care that go into each artwork, as well as the limited number of commissions I accept each month.

  • Revisions include adjustments to the initial sketch and minor refinements to the final artwork, such as small color or detail changes. Major changes to composition or subject after sketch approval may require an additional fee.

  • Additional subjects and detailed backgrounds significantly increase the time and complexity of a piece. Add-on pricing ensures the work remains balanced and fairly priced for the scope involved.

  • A 50% deposit is required to reserve your commission slot. The remaining balance is due before final delivery. Work begins once the deposit is received. I will create a unique payment portal through my site. Payments can be made with any major credit card.

  • Rush commissions are available on a limited basis and depend on current availability. A rush fee applies to accommodate priority scheduling.

  • To maintain quality and avoid overbooking, I accept a maximum of two commissions per month.

  • Commissioned artwork is intended for personal use only. Commercial usage or reproduction rights are not included unless discussed and agreed upon in advance.

  • With your permission, completed commissions may be shared on my website or social media. If you prefer your piece remain private, just let me know.
